Several new monsters added from the Shadowplane

-
I have started to improve the measurements of monster's health, having now calibrated the Histia statistic for 479/848 beasts in the bestiary. Atkus-to-hit statistic is now done for 700/848 and Darkus and swing rate for 748/848 - small increases from last May. I have also added four new beasts found in the Frigid Cavern far in the eastern mountains, three in the new "Chimera" family:

-
I added in some new beasts found in the Shadowplane, as well as the monsters uniquely found near Sommbrion's floating island. These are the:

-
I added in all of the beasts from the Land of Dank Believe (Bookfort) for the first time. Some creatures are new this year, but most existed previously, but I had not entered them due to their seasonality. I now add predictably-seasonal monsters. I did not add the Roguelike monsters from Bookfort, and do not plan on doing so. The added monsters are:

and the

Additionally, I have measured the Darkus and swing rate for an additional 11 creatures (plus the 44 above) for a total of 721/844, and Atkus-to-hit for an additional 54 creatures (plus all of the above) for a total of 690/844. I have also started fixing the monster health measurements, now calculated for 185 out of 844 in the bestiary.
-
More Darkus and swing rate calculations, now for 666 out of 799 creatures. More Atkus-to-hit calculations, currently done for 591 creatures.
Five long-missing seasonal (but consistently-spawning) creatures were added, the:

plus several new creatures that were found last month in the new Org Sanctuary on Centaur Island, the:

and two creatures found in the Shadowplane Ocean recently, the:

Finally, six creatures were declared "extinct", the Darshak War Hound, the Wildew, the Hardew, the Grandew, the Wickedew, and the Darshak Tug. If any of these are ever spotted again, let me know!
-
More Darkus and swing rate calculations, now for 585 out of 790 creatures.
Additionally, I have calculated the Atkus required to hit for a large number of creatures in the land (currently done for 497 creatures). The number reported is the Atkus required to hit a creature with complete accuracy (95%) with a perfectly-timed swing during normal combat. This value does not account for base racial Atkus or weapon Atkus bonuses. Thus you will normally find you will often hit a creature quite well about 30-50 Atkus "earlier" than expected based on the values I have reported.
-
I have been carefully measuring the swing rate and damage dealt by many monsters, having currently measured 517 out of the roughly 790 creatures normally found in the lands. Any monster with a swing rate marker has been precisely measured for both swing rate and Darkus. Around 256 creatures remain to be tested (some monsters are too rare to be measured, like the Fire Drake).

The opening of Cimmbrion's Castle was noted and more fully explored, containing new beasts:

A further part of the Shadowplane was explored, containing new beasts:

A new part of the high eastern mountains was discovered, the Silversnag Ascent, in which was found:

Several new areas have been discovered since the last major update. First, deep within Gho-Wei Island, inside the Haunted Fane, the following monsters were first found:

Then the entrance to Abyss 3 was discovered, containing two unique monsters, the:
Whispering Horror, and the
Ebon Wraith,
Finally, a large new area of the Eastern Mountains was uncovered after the collapse of a barrier. A new family of monster ("Stone Elemental") was discovered in the "Shadowspring Citadel" found deep within this Vale of Giants. The following creatures were uniquely or first identified there:
Foxweir Friend,
Dark Rift,
Nyrm,
Deathhawk,
Crimsonhawk,
Angry Fledgling,
Badger,
Storm Incarnate,
Otissa Snake,
Thornwood Colossus,
Tree Colossus,

A new spooky village was found to the east of the Ash Barrens mausoleum. This area is permanently open, not seasonally. Within this area are found:

Also the long missing:
Darshak Clipper.
-
It turns out that Bison and Goats are in the same family -- it is unclear if this has always been the case, or if it changed last year. In any case, the families are collapsed now. Thanks, Leyenda!
-
The first new creatures in more than two years have been discovered on Gho-Wei Island!

-
Added two more long-absent creatures thanks to Leinis. The Silverback Wendecka and the Darshak Punk. Foxweir Pup and Torched Fervor live sketches added; only three creatures to go, as the Wildew, Hardew, and Grandew appear to be extinct!
-
Fixed some longstanding bugs in the bestiary code. Unicode characters are now actually supported! I had fixed this for the search page a while back, but not anywhere else.
-
Placesholders have been added for several new and long-missing creatures, which will be added more formally when I get a chance. A few long-missing live creature sketches have been added—thanks Leinis. The family for Terrabite was fixed (is Insect, was listed as Crustacean).
Six long-missing creatures: the Silverback Night Wendecka, the Paradise Butterfly, the Greater Blymoid, the Hooded Guardian, the Skeletal Guardian, and the Greater Guardian.
Three new monsters have been discovered: the Mauling Spirit, the Damaged Spirit, and the Crushing Spirit. Placeholders have been added for these as well.
Two new hostile spirits have been discovered: the spirit of Giayl, and the spirits of the missing fighter trainers. Again placeholders have been added.
-
Added two creatures that have started to appear in the Eastern Mountains. The

Fixed some bugs with the search engine. Sorting now works again; turns out I broke it while moving to Noivad's clanlord.net server a couple years ago. A few other little bugs fixed too. Searching is now faster... although since it was "instantaneous" before I'm not sure how much that optimization mattered.

Added one long-missing creature, the:

And several newly-discovered creatures in the Eastern Mountains, the:
Overgrown Greymyr,
Mountain Greymyr,
Ice'Kin,
Gruff Mountain Goat,
Alpine Goat,

Added one creature which has been missing from the bestiary for years, the:

-
All coin data in the bestiary have been revised using real data as opposed to the rough estimates from before. This is collated from 12 people and around 1.5 million entries. Some revisions will take place as I account for Skea/Dentir training, but generally the estimates can be trusted except for higher value furs (> 20c), where the reported average value is LOWER than the true average. In the near future -- I hope -- I will add data on the range and full statistics on all monsters. I have written some code that helps Mac users pull out all of their skinning data, but I will work on a script that does the same for PC users... maybe.
-
Added the long-missing Mammoth Org to the bestiary. This exotic and beautiful creature (perhaps named after its brilliant namesake) is rarely found near the Ensconcement Village. I will add the smaller Org once I get solid data about it.

-
Added a couple long-missing creatures to the bestiary:

-
A few creatures are found in the deep estuary which I had not previously listed. These are the:

-
A new area has been found off of the Bison Plains, deep in from the Estuary. Several creatures unique to the area have been discovered:

-
Massive update to histia statistics of monsters. Now much more accurate. Creature damage numbers still wildly variable in accuracy. Also some minor under the hood updates / code improvements.
-
Addition of one rare monster from the estuary highlands, the

-
I have received a visionstone from Stonehand of the snowy mountain part of the estuary highlands. Several creatures can uniquely be found there:

-
A nearby high mountain pass has been discovered, a bit further away from the estuary and likely linking to the greymyr mountains and mountain glen, although such a connection has not been made. Many new creatures have been found in this land, including the:

Many other new creatures are found in this area and to be added to the bestiary at a further date.
-
A new mountain range has been discovered, near the estuary. Many new creatures have been found here, including the:
